Bacon+Bourbon Class with Jonathan Burlison of Pigasus Meats
Join the 387 Pantry and Pigasus Meats for an evening dedicated to the beauty of cured pork and aged whiskey. Jonathan Burlison of Memphis' own Pigasus Cured Meats will teach the basics of cured meats, and more specifically, the secrets to his incredible bacon. With the knowledge learned, those in attendance should be able to successfully cure their own bacon at home to give as gifts for the holidays, impress dinner guests, and enjoy the hobby of home curing.
The class will begin sharply at 6:30 pm with a bourbon tasting and discussion of the pairing qualities between bourbon whiskey and cured pork. Advance tickets are required and are available for purchase through the link below or in person at the 387 Pantry at 387 South Main Street. This event is limited to 18 participants.
Class price includes bourbon tasting, demonstration PLUS a poiund of Pigasus bacon to take home!
